Our health education program, the Patient Education Resource Center and the CHEC, serves as links between our clinical care and community collaboratives.

Patient Education Resource Center

Our Patient Education Resource Center is located at the University Medical Pavilion at the front entrance. It provides health information and community referrals on all aspects of women's health to patients and the community. The Patient Education Resource Center offers easy access to a comprehensive collection of health information and materials for women of all ages and their families, and links to clinical trials and research on women's health.  The Resource Center also provides access to computers with Internet connections to access health information sources on the Internet.

CHEC

CHEC (Consumer Health Education Center) is a model interactive educational resource center to meet the health information needs of the patients, caregivers and the surrounding community. The center has ready and easy access to a comprehensive collection of health information through numerous consumer health books, videos and pamphlets from different healthcare associations and organizations. The facility provides consumers privacy to seek information and to read it while providing a safe convenient centralized site in pleasant surroundings. CHEC also provides access to computers with Internet connections to access quality health information sources on the Internet.  CHEC is located adjacent to the Women's Health Center (ccc) at the Jackson Medical Mall.
